"Writing gives me the opportunity to explore ideas, play with language, solve problems, use my imagination, and draw on my own childhood." - Jack Prelutsky
It's officially the spookiest time of the year! Decorate your library, classroom, or even your own home with this month's reading posters. We are also celebrating the poetry of Jack Prelutsky this month, so join us with the activity we provided below!
Download the posters below! This simple game is sure to spark your students' imagination! After reading Jack Prelutsky's It's Halloween, give your students this handout and one die cube. They then roll the die and must use the two words they land on to form a poem stanza. They do this a total of four times and in the end will have a full poem!
Have fun and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
