No More Inventory Exceptions for Items Out of Shelf List Order (Unless You Want It)
Alexandria has always been a stickler for letting you know when items are out of shelf list order when you are doing inventory. This might have been annoying, but now Alexandria may be set to report just the important exceptions.
Inventory Helper, a fantastic new feature of Alexandria v6, gives you some wonderful features that let you customize your inventory experience. So, let's take a look at those settings:
-
Go to Tools on the menu bar and select Inventory Helper.
-
Click on the second tab, 2) Inventory Settings.

Call Number Range -- Enter the call number range that you are going to inventory and Alexandria will report any items inventoried that are out of that range.
Ignore Call Number Order -- If you check this box, Alexandria will not report items that are shelved out of call number order if they fall within the call number range that you have set.
Site Code -- This is for Central Union users. Select your site (library) code from the list.
Copy Policy -- Indicate the policy that applies to the items in this call number range. For instance, if you have decided to inventory the fiction items in your library and you have a Fiction policy, you would select Fiction from your policies listed.
Inventory Type -- Select the type of inventory that you wish to perform.
