Tip for 01.11.10

You may have noticed that the old Transaction Log tab in Circulation has a new name -- Circulation. With the new name comes added functionality.

When you bought Alexandria, you learned that the Transaction Log was so helpful in seeing if what you thought you had done was really what you did. Then the Renewals pane functionality was added and you were torn between the Transaction Log and the Renewalswindow. Now, in version 6, the Homeroom icon has been replaced by the Homeroom pane. Are you stressing because you can't see more than one at a time? Smile! You can!

To view multiple panes on the Circulation tab at the same time:

• Click on the Circulation tab and then click on either the Renewals button or the Homeroom button.
• Ctrl + click (Macintosh) or right-click (Windows) and a menu will appear.
• Click on Detach.
• If you want to detach the other selection, click on that button and repeat the process.
• Click on the Transaction Log button so that you can see the Transaction Log as well as the other pane(s).
