Help!  Alexandria Put My Item In Transit!

Summary:  In Transit?  Where is Alexandria trying to send my item?  You know that you are not a Central Union system and what's happening is a mystery to you.   What's going on?

There is an easy explanation  —   your item Library (Institution) Code is different from the Library ID Code in your Library Information — Default Local preferences.

  • Go to Edit on the menu bar and select Preferences.
  • Change the first drop-down menu in the upper-left corner to Library Information if it is not already showing this selection.  The second drop-down menu should be set to Local or Default Local.
  • Look at the Library ID Code field on your Local or Default Local preferences and make note of what it is.
  • Close the Preferences window.
  • Go to File on the menu bar and select Utilities.
  • Set the Utilities window as shown below inserting your Library ID Code in the With field.

  •  Click on Run and, when asked if you want to Archive first, select "Yes."
  • Close the Utilities window.
