Researcher Help for Patrons Who Can't Spell
Summary: Some people are spelling challenged and fail when using the Alexandria Researcher because of it. You can help them by setting a simple preference in the Researcher preferences.
1. Go to Edit on the menu bar and select Preferences.
2. On the Preferences window, select Researcher from the first drop-down menu and set the second drop-down menu to Default Local.
3. About half-way down on the left side, click on the check box next to the option, Sounds Like Prompt.
4. Click on Save and close the Preferences window.
With this preference checked, when a patron enters a search term such as "gost" in Alexandria Researcher and no results are found, it will ask the patron if it should perform a Sounds Like search. If "Yes" is selected, then it will repeat the search and find items with "ghost".
