Modifying Simple Search Icons

Summary:  For elementary libraries, the graphics on the Simple Search interface are just perfect, but, if you are in a high school or college library, they may seem to be a little too young for your patrons.  It is really quite easy to change these graphics and we have an alternate set available for you.

1.  Go to your Data Station.  This is the computer (or server) where your Alexandria program resides.

2.  Open the Researcher module either by going to Show on the menu bar and selecting Researcher or by using the hot key command (ctrl-k for Windows or cmd-k for Macintosh.)

3.  Click on the Simple Search tab.  Take each graphic from the file of alternative graphics and drag and drop on top of the appropriate Simple Search button.
