13-digit ISBNs and Alexandria
Summary: In February of 2005, the first Tip of the Week was sent out regarding the enhancements that were being made to Alexandria to incorporate the change to 13-digit ISBNs. The subsequent release of v5.5 and v5.4.4.5 (for those on older hardware) of Alexandria made these features available. This included the ability to convert 10-digit ISBNs to 13-digit ISBNs if desired.
Recently, there have been many inquiries regarding how Alexandria will handle the coming change to 13-digit ISBNs. In response, there has been a Tech Note added to the Alexandria website at www.goalexandria.com. This week we would encourage you to read this tech note to better understand how Alexandria will help with the transition from 10-digit to 13-digit ISBNs.
