Backing Up Alexandria
Summary: One of the most important things you can do each day is to create a backup of your Alexandria data. This can be done in many different ways. You can burn your Data folder to a CD, or copy it to a Zip, Jump, or external hard drive. Some of you may even archive to a school server, which is then backed up to a tape drive. However you do it, make sure you do it and that you test your strategy. That way you know that your backup would be available if anything should happen to your computer or data. Our Technical Support department has written some helpful tech notes to help you back up your valuable Alexandria data. These detailed techs note will help you to better understand the importance of having a backup strategy and some steps to use when creating your backup. We are sure you will find them helpful as you work to preserve the library data you have put your time and effort into. Thank you, The Alexandria Staff Librarians |
