Finding a Patron by First Name
Summary: In past versions of Alexandria, you have been able to search for patrons by their last name. With the release of the later 5.4.4 versions and the 5.5.0 versions of Alexandria, you can now search for patrons by their first name as well
Using the LF command you can search for a patron's first name. The Browse window, which opens with this command, shows the patron's first name, full name, and location, making it easier to determine that you have the correct patron.
To browse by patron first name:
-
Type LF, then a space and the first name of the patron and press <enter>.
-
You can also open the Patron Look Up window by just typing LF and pressing <enter>.
- From the browse list, highlight the desired name and click Select.
- If the name is already highlighted, you can double click on it or press the <enter> key to make the patron current.
This is just another way that we have tried to make check out time faster and more efficient. We think you will find this added feature helpful as you circulate your library materials.
Thank you,
The Alexandria Staff Librarians
