Tip of the Week
Tip for: 10.10.2005
Commands Require Spaces Preferences
Summary: The tips over the past few weeks have dealt with changes to the 5.5 versions of Alexandria. Another one of these changes is that the Commands Require Spaces preference is set by default when security is used. This change was necessary as a result of some enhancements to security within Alexandria and provides greater protection of your data. However, this means that users with security enabled need to be sure to place a space after a command code that is entered.
To enter a command with the Commands Require Spaces preference set:
- Type in the command code (i.e. L, V, B, H, etc).
- Add a space
- Scan or type in barcode or text.
Thank you,
The Alexandria Staff Librarians
