Setting Graduation Dates with the Grade Table

Summary: Customizing and ensure that Grades and Graduation Dates match as desired just got much easier. New to version 5.5 of Alexandria, the Grade Table, accessible from Patron Management global preferences, allows the user to match the grade with the appropriate graduation year, add new grade levels, and remove levels that don't apply to their library.

To edit Grades and Graduation Years:

  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  • Use the Library Information drop-down menu to select Patron Management.
  • The Local drop-down menu should be set to Global.
  • Click on the Grade Table tab.

  • Highlight the grade to modify.
  • Click on the "a" icon.
  • Make the desired change.

  • Click OK.
  • When changes are complete, click Save.

To add a new Grade:

  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  • Use the Library Information drop-down menu to select Patron Management.
  • The Local drop-down menu should be set to Global.
  • Click on the Grade Table tab.
  • Click on the "+" icon.

  • Enter the desired graduation year, grade code (e.g. 12), and grade level.
  • Click OK.
  • When changes to the Grade Table are complete, click Save.
