Browsing - Did you realize that the Browse By pulldown affects your Find in the management windows such as Patrons, Items, Orders, etc.? In fact, the Browse by pulldown setting changes not only the next, previous, first, and last commands, it also changes the Find and the Browse by list commands. Many times strange results when finding a record are not a problem with the Alexandria program or your data but a different Browse by setting than thought. Before doing any of the Browse or Find commands, always look at the Browse by pulldown and make sure it is on the appropriate setting for the information you are looking for.
