NetLink Integrated into Alexandria®
Each NetLink MARC record contains the web site URL cataloged within the 856 tag. NetLink’s MARC records are simply imported into Alexandria and merge with your library collection. Your patrons then search the library’s in-house collection along with relevant web sites.
Bibliographic descriptions of each site are listed in Alexandria’s search results. These descriptions are included in field 520 of the MARC record. The web sites are hyper-linked within Alexandria and
can be launched by the click of your mouse.
Unique Auto-update Feature
NetLink’s integration with Alexandria makes updating a breeze! Alexandria automatically updates NetLink records monthly. New records are imported and dead or outdated records are updated or weeded out—automatically!
NetLink’s Quality Assurance
NetLink’s MARC records are updated monthly and are maintained and reviewed for consistency and accuracy. Dead links are removed and new sites (500) are added each month.

"Alexandria has helped to make our library user friendly and efficient for both students and faculty. Not only is the program great, but the Alexandria staff is too. They have been more than helpful when called. And, now I'm beginning to utilize the "Tip of the Week" located on their website."
